Successful artist and global entrepreneur Romero Britto has amicably resolved his legal dispute with Apple Inc. and artists, Craig & Karl.

"Britto Central Inc. is pleased to announce that it has amicably resolved its legal dispute with Apple Inc. and artists Craig & Karl. Britto Central is proud of Romero Britto's artistic work, which is acclaimed worldwide. Romero Britto is similarly proud of the positive impact that he has made on the art world and for his significant charitable endeavors," according to a statement from Britto Central.

In the suit, filed on April 6 last year in federal court in Miami, Britto alleged that the centerpiece image of Apple's 2015 "Start Something New" ad campaign, designed by Craig & Karl, copied the Britto brand, infringing on its trade dress, and creating unfair competition

Britto Central was represented by Miami franchise law firm Zarco, Einhorn, Salkowski & Brito, P.A. and Miami/Chicago law firm Bortz Law, P.A.  Mikhael Ann Bortz served as lead intellectual property counsel on the case for Britto Central.
